Certification Counseling

Our Business Center is excited to announce the launch of Certification Counseling! Certification Counseling focuses on helping eligible businesses with their Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification applications through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

STEP 1: TAKE OUR ELIGIBILITY SURVEY

Take our Eligibility Survey to see if you may qualify for WOSB and WBE certifications. Certification eligibility requirements are quite technical. Find a time when you can dedicate 10 to 15 minutes to complete the survey.

Be sure to read each question thoroughly and provide the most accurate responses so that you can determine your eligibility.

STEP 2: SUBMIT SURVEY RESPONSE

If the survey offers a “Review & Submit” option towards the end, that means you may be eligible for WOSB and WBE certifications. Be sure to review your responses and then press “Submit” on the last page to send the results to the Business Center.

STEP 3: WBENC CERTIFICATION PROCESS

If you are eligible for certifications, use our Certification Documents Checklist. The certification application requires several documents and pieces of information. First, review each required document on the list. Then, indicate the status of each document.

STEP 4: RE-CERTIFY ANNUALLY

WBENC certifications last one year.

Be sure to complete your annual re-certification. It is suggested you start the recertification process at least 90 days prior to expiration.
